MISSION
TWEVO's mission is to promote innovation for sustainability by driving the development of advanced industrial solutions that maximize productivity and competitiveness, support human operations, and reduce energy and material waste.
Our real-time supervision and quality assurance solutions allow automatic and predictive anomaly detection in manual and automated processes using real-time computer vision with Artificial Intelligence (AI), complementing human supervisory work. These systems are non-invasive, do not disrupt production lines, do not alter process control sequences, and respect established control habits.
Our
STORY
TWEVO was founded in February 2017 by and Carlos Ribeiro (PhD) and Mónica Figueiredo (PhD) as a certified SME, building on early recognition from Carnegie Mellon University’s Portugal 2016 Entrepreneurship in Residence Fellowship, and deep R&D and academic expertise. Pivoting from drone markets to Industry 4.0, TWEVO developed state-of-the-art Edge-AI and vision-based technologies for factory-floor innovation, attracted investment and earned recognition from key partners, clients, and stakeholders.
TWEVO's team is a dynamic blend of passionate engineers, AI experts, and innovators who work hard and smart to empower industries with cutting-edge technologies that boost competitiveness and sustainability. Senior engineers in leadership provide strong guidance and support to our young, talented team of implementers, fostering hands-on learning and bold experimentation. Carlos Ribeiro
CEO & CTO
Post-Doc in Digital Signal Processing and Electronic Design, he is CTO and co-founder of TWEVO. He has more than 30 years experience as Professor at the Polytechnic of Leiria, researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações and entrepreneur in the field of Wireless Communications, Electronic Design and Computer Vision.
Mónica Figueiredo
CSO
PhD in High-Speed Electronics, she is CSO and co-founder of TWEVO. She has more than 25 years experience as Professor at the Polytechnic of Leiria and researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações in the field of high-speed electronics and AI. She won the ITU AI/ML in 5G Grand Challenge promoted by ITU in 2022.
