Our founders
Mónica Figueiredo
PhD in High-Speed Electronics, she is the co-founder, CEO and CSO of TWEVO. She has more than 20 years of experience as an Electronics Lecturer at Instituto Politécnico de Leiria and as a researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações in the field of high-speed digital design and configurable electronic circuit design. She has lead and actively participated in research projects and activities, having over 30 international publications, including book chapters, journals and conferences.
Carlos Ribeiro
PhD in Wireless Communications, Post-Doc in Wireless Communications Hardware, he is the co-founder and CTO of TWEVO, an entrepreneur involved in the creation of two start-ups in the area of wireless systems and communication networks. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the design & implementation of Wireless Systems, including in the development of Bluetooth & ZigBee integrated circuits. He has over 20 years of experience as a Communications Lecturer at Instituto Politécnico de Leiria and researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações in the field of wireless communications, networks and electronics. He has participated in several EU R&D projects and lead several R&D projects. He is recognised as an international expert in the area of communications with over 60 international publications, including book chapters, journals and conferences.
