We just wanted to share this beautiful work of art with you! This was on one of our screens, a moment ago. This graphically shows how the inside of the FPGA where we are now implementing our REVOsdr transceiver is being used. The colours are not just arty-farty stuff. They show where functional parts are being placed inside the FPGA – the actual transceiver, I/O ports, power, debugging, etc. But what is also nice is the numbers at stake: this little thing will be doing more than 4 billion multiplications per second, and using only 2.8W. Beautiful!
And it’s only 1.2W for the actual FPGA part! The rest is for its processor.
